In what’s already become the teaser seen around the world, Keeping Up With the Kardashians revealed last night that Kim Kardashian is pregnant with her second child! The lightning-quick scene from the upcoming mid-season premiere that shows Kim telling sister Khloé, “I just got the blood test back and I am pregnant!” blew up the Internet last night and unleashed excited messages from her friends and family.
“Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! Can’t wait to meet your new little love bug!!!!! Sooooo happy for you guys!!!!!!!!!! #blessed #love #family #youaresobeautifulpregnant,” her mom Kris wrote on a sweet Instagram photo (above) of Kim with her husband of one year, Kanye West.
Kardashian family BFF Jonathan Cheban tweeted his well wishes for his longtime pal. “Congrats Kim!!! Baby #2!!!” he wrote.
Not only that, but it ushered in Glamour‘s new July cover, which stars Kim and features her first interview about North’s impending new sibling.
“We are so beyond excited,” she told the magazine, which has a cover line saying, “‘It’s Been a Roller Coaster’: Kim On Bruce, Kanye, And YES, Baby #2.”
Inside, she got downright introspective, reflecting on her personal changes since her last Glamour cover in 2012. “I’m a completely different person,” she said. “I don’t know if it’s growing up or being with Kanye, who’s more private, but I try and live my off time as privately as possible. I used to enjoy the spotlight. If I had a day off from filming, I didn’t know what to do. Now I enjoy my family time so much, there is this sense of, if it all went away, and I was just a mom, I would love my life.”
Kim also spoke to her widely-publicized fertility issues in conceiving baby number two, and her happiness with being a mother. “[Motherhood] really changes you,” the pregnant star continued. “When I found out I was pregnant [with North], I was going through an awful divorce, Kanye and I had just been dating for seven months — granted, we knew each other for a decade — and I was like, ‘I can’t do this. It’s not the right time.’ But then I figured, If I’m in my thirties and I’m not ready, I’ll never be ready. So it’s been the biggest lesson, and the biggest joy of my life.”
