Watch: This Father-Daughter Dance is Unlike Any Other!

Now this is a unique father-daughter dance.

Kandice Mickunas’ dance with her father started out as conventional as any other. They swayed side-to-side to Louis Armstrong’s classic “What a Wonderful World” while guests joyfully watched. As sweet as this dance would be on its own, father Jim decided to surprise his daughter with a personal touch — two baseball gloves and a game of catch for old time’s sake!

“My daughter has always found her own path,” dad Jim wrote in the caption alongside the video he posted to YouTube. “She played flag football at 6. She hated wearing dresses. She wore a tuxedo to her first communion. She lettered in soccer and track. She then became an engineer for the largest automaker in the world when she was 22.”

When the music cut and he brings out the gloves you can feel her excitement.

“I could not imagine having a traditional father daughter dance with her,” he added. “That is not what we were or are…So I came up with this. She had no idea!”

If you thought his initial surprise was heart-wrenchingly cute, then just wait until you see what he has in store for the end. Instead of completing his catch with his daughter, Jim hands off his glove to a new player — his brand-new son-in-law! Try not to well up when you watch that switch happen.

You don’t want to miss the rest of the sweet video above! And for any dad-and-daughter pairs at a loss for their dance together, you’d be wise to take note from this awesome personalization.
