WATCH: Rivini’s Spring 2016 Bridal Runway Show

Rivini’s Spring 2016 runway show was full of fun little surprises — the skirts flaunted a sheerness that was so playful and light, while the shapes were fluid with wavy tiers. Now, with our behind-the-scenes runway video, you can learn more about the inspiration behind Rita Vinieris‘s latest collection and get a better look at the gorgeous gowns.

“The collection is all about light and delicateness,” Rita Vinieris said of her latest body of work. “I played with a lot of diffused fabrications, sort of layering them so you could see the human form underneath.”

That was pretty apparent throughout the airy range of sheer and not-so-sheer creations.

“It’s about seeing and not seeing, a little bit of sensuality,” she added. “It’s about creating depth throughout the layers, and playing with flowers and a little bit of scrolls.”

And while the collection definitely had its own unique flair, the overall aesthetic was pretty consistent with Rivini’s fashion-forward point of view. “The Rivini bride is a woman who wants a little bit of fashion with her wedding dress, she’s not looking for a conventional wedding dress,” Vinieris added. “She’s looking for style, a little bit of a haute couture element, she’s definitely looking for a dress that extends her personal style.”

In our video, too, you can get an up-close look at all of the behind-the-scenes action, from the models getting their dewy makeup looks done to a detail shot of some of the gown’s fabrications and embellishments and the hairstyling process.
