Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch broke millions of hearts when he married his pregnant fiancé Sophie Hunter in a romantic Valentine’s Day wedding last month, but now Hunter is the one who will be the object of everyone’s envy. Valentino posted the first photo of her in her custom wedding dress to its Instagram account today, and it is a gorgeous sight to behold.

“Beautiful Sophie Hunter with Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli prepping her couture dress for her March wedding to Benedict Cumberbatch. #magicmoment #sophiehunter #benedictcumberbatch photographed by #AnnieLeibovitz for @voguemagazine,” the fashion house captioned the dramatic snapshot.

Made out of silver lace, the lovely gown features a high neckline and on-trend long sleeves, which probably came in handy for her chilly February nuptials in England. Not only that, the empire silhouette is perfect for a burgeoning baby bump.

According to Vogue, Hunter designed the dress, which Valentino designers Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri then whipped up in an impressive three months. “It feels very much of nature, and it’s so detailed and extraordinary that I’m still trying to get my head around how beautiful it is,” Hunter said.

Piccoli and Chiuri described the gown as a “high-waisted medieval gown with high neck and long sleeves.”

It’s an absolutely beautiful wedding dress — celebrity bride or no. Perhaps Hunter has an eye on a career in bridal design!
