Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are trying their hardest to keep their baby’s name out of the media for a smart reason: They’re scared of an angry teenager’s retribution.

“There’s zero secret about it,” the actor told the Associated Press. “That little girl will grow up to be a teenager who will find out that I blurted her name out on national television and probably make me pay for it. She will exact her revenge in searing, psychic pain.”

Reynolds and Lively welcomed their first child late last year and have kept famously hush-hush about the birth and family life. The actors haven’t even revealed their daughter’s exact birthdate!

While Reynolds admits he can only give his family so much privacy, he’s trying for all he can. “When you put yourself in the public eye you have to accept certain aspects of it,” the Woman of Gold Star added. But, he continued, “I think to some degree if you don’t court it you don’t have to deal with it so much.”

The couple’s baby isn’t the only thing they’ve kept secret from the press. Reynolds and Lively tied the knot in September 2012 in a private Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, ceremony. They met on the set of Green Lantern in early 2010, and they made their relationship public in late October 2012.

One thing we know for sure? The baby’s name is not Violet. Reynolds squashed those rumors on a recent appearance on Late Show with David Letterman, according to People.
