Though they tied the knot earlier this week in a quiet civil ceremony at their home in Los Angeles, actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard presumably got (or are getting) married in a bigger bash in the Bahamas this weekend. Fifty friends and family of the couple are on his private island for the affair and, by all accounts, they’re thrilled about it.

A longtime friend of Depp’s told People yesterday that Heard “is a free thinker. Her presence has changed his life.”

In advance of the nuptials, Depp reportedly renamed his 156-foot yacht Amphitrite as a pledge of his love to Heard. He originally purchased the $32.7 million vessel with his previous partner, Vanessa Paradis.

Their second wedding will be held on Depp’s private island, Little Hall’s Pond Cay. In attendance? Heard’s family and Depp’s two children, Lily-Rose and Jack, of course. But the couple could also have the company of a star-studded guest list that includes Steven Tyler, Marilyn Manson, Helena Bonham Carter, and Tim Burton. They’ll all get cozy on Amphitrite for the occasion, because the small island doesn’t offer enough hotel rooms.

Depp and Heard first met when they played on-screen lovers in 2011’s The Rum Diary, and got engaged three years later. The couple has worked to keep the details of their relationship hush-hush, but Depp recently dished to NBC’s Today Show about his fiancée, “She’s a wonderful girl. She’s sharp as a tack. A southern belle and sweet as can be, and very good for me.”

The bride is expected to walk down a beach aisle — named Amber Beach after her, which is just so sweet! — wearing a Stella McCartney wedding dress. We can’t wait to see what kind of romantic ensemble she puts together for what is sure to be an unique, eccentric and love-filled celebration.
