Lance Bass and Michael Turchin made history last night as the first same-sex couple to get married on an American TV network, and boy, did they make it count! The Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding special, which aired on E! last night, was filled with memorable moments from the lovable former ‘NSYNC-er.

Whether or not you were the boy band’s biggest fan, there were a ton of wedding-planning details to enjoy, including their bachelor party. For starters, we got to see everyone in Bass’s self-described world of “500 friends and acquaintances.” That included watching him celebrate at a pre-wedding bash with friends and family in Mississippi — all of whom were so wonderfully supportive of his marriage — as well as his more high-profile connections. Case in point: He looked to pals like Lisa Vanderpump, Kris Jenner, and former band mates JC Chasez and Joey Fatone for advice.

Another highlight was watching Bass’s decision-making process for picking his flower girls. Instead of using the under-ten-years-old set, he naturally gravitated toward using supermodels. Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before?! We’re only said that one of their four flower girl choices, Kendall Jenner, couldn’t make it for the big day.

Throughout their planning, it was clear how well Bass and Turchin work together, even with their disagreements. When Bass wanted to attach real flowers to the flower girl dresses, Turchin gently turned down the idea. We feel like all brides and grooms could take a cue from that kind of conflict resolution.

At the end of it all, we got to see it all come together, including their hilarious and heart-warming ceremony the Park Plaza Hotel. And was it worth the time commitment? You bet!
